George Foreman Classic Plate 2 Serving Grill Review

Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the George Foreman Classic Plate 2 Serving Grill. LINK to Grill:
The unit measures about 9 inches across and 9.5 inches long. It’s lightweight at less than 3 pounds. It comes with the grill, drip tray and instruction manual. The cooking surface is non-stick and the grill is sloped like other George Foreman Grills. The slope makes it easier for fat to flow into the drip tray. There are stops at the end of the grill so your food doesn’t roll off. The grill plate is fixed and not removable. The cooking area measures 7 inches across and 5 inches long. The handle is cool to the touch while cooking.

To use, close the lid, plug in the unit and the power indicator light will come on. After about 3 minutes, the light will turn off meaning the grill is heated and ready to use. Let’s cook a chicken breast. I’ve marinated the chicken in lemon juice, olive oil and spices. Close the lid. There is a suggested cooking chart in the instruction manual so you know when food is done. Chicken breast is 9 minutes. I have made hot dogs, sausages, burgers on this grill already and noticed that the back of the unit is hotter than the front. So, if you want evenly browned meat, turn the food around halfway through cooking. It’s been 7 minutes and the chicken is cooked. I suggest checking your chicken after 6 minutes to see if it’s cooked - this way you don’t overcook it and end up with dry meat. Use heatproof non-stick plastic or wood utensils on the grill, you don’t want to scratch the nonstick coating.

The unit is under $20 and decent for one or two people. For one person, you can grill meat and some vegetables at the same time. I would put the meat in the back of the unit as it’s hotter in the back and put the vegetables in the front. If you want a larger grill, click to watch my reviews of other models.

If you want to try out this unit, I’ve put a link in the description above.

To clean, wipe down the grill while it’s a little warm to get crusted on food off. If your grill looks pretty clean after cooking, wait till it’s cool and then wipe down with a damp cloth and dry. The drip tray is top rack dishwasher safe. You can store the grill vertically if space is tight.
